Heritage / Who We Are 

The Zahid family has been connected to commerce for over a century, playing a pivotal role in the development of Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure. In 1950 a chance meeting with Caterpillar led to a close-knit relationship, and since then Zahid has distributed Caterpillar machinery and equipment to the Kingdom’s private and public sectors. This partnership eventually led to the formation of Zahid Group’s flagship company, Zahid Tractor, in 1967 by the late Sheikh Yousuf M. Zahid.

 

Over the years, Zahid Tractor has evolved into three core business units – Construction Machinery, Commercial Vehicles and Rental. Today, we serve a number of industries, including construction and infrastructure, industrial, logistics and warehousing, agriculture, transportation, petroleum, mining, and quarry and aggregates.

 

To ensure our goal of continuously pursuing excellence, we maintain an ongoing investment in our people, facilities and the latest technology. Through our Apprenticeship program, Saudi employees acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude for a successful and long-term career with the company. This specialized program combines instructor led training with practical, hands-on activities under the supervision of a Technical Training Specialist and a Workplace Mentor. We also offer an Accelerated Basic Curriculum (ABC) program, focused on developing entry-level service technicians to create solutions in line with present and future needs of dealers. With this quick start program, the company is furthering its commitment to the Kingdom’s Saudization efforts while continuing to provide customers with unparalleled product support through a team of highly trained technicians.

 

As one of a handful of companies in the Kingdom to provide employees with 6 Sigma training, Zahid Tractor offers Green Belt, Black Belt and Master Black Belt in-house training with our own Master Black Belt experts.
